Managing Your Salon
The Salons page lists every salon you can access. Select a salon to see its rooms, activity, sessions, payments, inventory and maintenance issues.
Salon page
Each salon has these tabs:
- Performance: A preview of salon performance charts. It currently shows sample data. See Reporting and analytics.
- Rooms: Every room with its current status and wait list length.
- Activity: Recent customer activity at the salon.
- Sessions: Sessions run at the salon.
- Payments: Payments taken at the salon.
- Inventory: Stock for the salon's products. See Inventory management.
- Maintenance: Open and closed issues for the salon. See Maintenance tracking.
- Audit: A history of changes made to the salon record.
Salon settings
Administrators open Settings > Salons to add or edit a salon.

| Accept cash | On by default. Controls whether cash is offered at checkout. |
| Customer check-in | Walk-in only, walk-in and self check-in (default), walk-in and scheduling, or all. See Booking and wait list. |
| Operating hours | Set the open and close time for each day. At least one open day is required when scheduling is turned on. |
You can also add a photo for the salon. A salon's connected bank account is set up with SunMule support. See Payment processing and Multi-salon setup.
Salons can be disabled. Staff who are assigned only to a disabled salon cannot sign in.
Honey Badger status
Room control and inventory pages are available only while the salon's Honey Badger is connected. Each salon is in one of these states:
- Ready: The Honey Badger is connected and reachable.
- Unavailable: It cannot be found, for example because the salon has lost its internet connection.
- Unchecked: SunMule has not checked yet.
When the Honey Badger is not ready, opening a room control or inventory page directly sends you back to your landing page. On mobile devices, the bottom navigation moves less-used links into More and pins Dashboard, Rooms and Inventory while the Honey Badger is ready. See Equipment control.
Lobby monitor
The lobby monitor is a display for a waiting-room TV. Open it from the monitor icon in the header (available while the salon's Honey Badger is ready) and choose a view:
- Waiting view: A compact list of each waiting customer with their room, equipment and wait time.
- Rooms view: Large equipment images with each room's status and the customers waiting.
- Auto-switch view: Alternates between the two every 30 seconds.
Turn on Show active rooms only to hide rooms with no one waiting or in a session.
