Room Management

A room is one tanning bed or booth in a salon. SunMule shows each room's live status, lets staff start and stop sessions and manage the wait list, and stores the room's timer settings.

Room controls

Rooms in the main menu (also available at the salon's room control page) shows the rooms for the salon you are working in. It requires the salon's Honey Badger to be connected. See Equipment control.

Each room card shows:

• The room's current status
• The customer in the room and the customer on deck
• Actions to start a session, manage the wait list and change timer settings

Administrators, Managers and Leaders can control rooms. Guest Services can view room status only.

Room statuses

• Ready: The room is available for the next customer.
• Delay: The customer has been started and the delay (the time before the lamps come on) is running.
• Active: A session is running.
• Dirty: The session is over and the room needs cleaning.
• Cool down: The equipment's post-session cooling cycle is running.
• Unavailable: The room is offline or disabled. Unavailable rooms do not appear in wait list screens.

Room detail

Select a room to open its detail page, which has these tabs:

• Status: Live state and controls
• Waiting list: Customers queued for the room
• Sessions: Past sessions in the room
• Maintenance: Issues reported against the room
• Audit: Changes to the room record

Adding and editing rooms

Open Settings > Salons, choose a salon and add a room.

• Name: Required. Special characters are not allowed.
• Timer ID: The timer number the room uses on the T-Max network, from 1 to 64. Each ID can only be used once per salon.

Rooms also keep timer settings that SunMule reads from the equipment: bed hours, lamp hours, session count, clean room mode and cool down time. Lamp hours are recorded for reference. SunMule does not send lamp-replacement reminders.

Disabling a room

Disabling a room also disables the equipment assigned to it. A room can have at most one piece of equipment. See Equipment control.
